Hello all. Been really busy at this end, with two Comic Conventions in two weekends recently. Normal service will resume shortly.
Meantime, here's a teaser for a book we're looking to launch through Disconnected Press.
Hope you're all well.

Wishing everyone a merry and peaceful Christmas.
This little ditty is for the 2000AD forum Advent Calendar. Happy tale, but there seems to be a theme through this year's work! Click the image to get the full page, Blogger has changed in my absence, and I'm still getting to grips with it here.
Take it easy chickens, and see you in 2013...

What have you done with this year??
Answers on a postcard.
The last twelve months have been a blur of work here, which is a very good thing. In that time, I've done a graphic novel for Markosia and been the lead artist on another for Accent UK. I've also helped launch another two books for Disconnected Press, contributed to four other anthologies and, by the time December ends in a hail of fireworks, I'll have drawn north of 200 pages. To put that into context, in the previous twelve months, I did 96.
It's been even more of a learning curve than I thought, and I've made more than a few mistakes, but I do think what I've learned has been of benefit to my work. Which is what I wanted.
In the next couple of weeks I'll share some pages and processes from the year's output. Pretty pictures. Everyone likes looking at pretty pictures.
Cheers.

Ahoy!
Hello!
Been really busy here wading through pages and pages of work, launching Disconnected Press, and attending a few Comic Cons (sketching my hands to the bone therein), to mention but a few things that've been going on recently. More of those on another post that'll go up later this week.
Meantime, this is a cover for a FQP Publication that'll go live later this year. The very agreeable chaps at FQP have let me post it up early - I think that invokes some form of soul debt - so enjoy :)

Wulf
Another topic over at the Weekly Themed Art Blog is Strontium Dog. I drew this sketch of Wulf at the Cardiff Comic Con and filed it away under "Things I'll Finish At Some Point", so it seemed a good reason to finish now.

Ashley Wood / Hell Spawn
This week's theme for the Weekly Themed Art Blog is Ashley Wood.
I couldn't pass this up as his artwork on Hell Spawn dragged me back into comics for the final time (circa 2001). It was the characterisation, built on simple linework and swamped in scratched, dirty, saturated colour that drew me in. I even bought the font used the book! A quick google search of his work of the time will show you what I mean. Here's a quick attempt at the same.
